Ok, so I was just reading the rulebook tonight and I think I have everything down (we're playing it tomorrow possibly) except for 1 minor question:

Who starts with the Admiral and President titles? Do you start the game off going by the successions? The rulebook on page 5 words it wierdly, saying: "5. Distribute Title Cards: The President title is given to the first available player in the following list: Laura, Zarek, Gaius. The Admiral title is given to the first available player in the following list: Adama, Tigh, and Helo."

Do they mean as soon as 1 of those characters is chosen from that list? Or do they mean after the characters are chosen?

For example: If Gaius is the first character chosen does he get the President title? Or do you wait till everyone has selected characters and then Gaius will only get it if Laura wasn't taken, and then Zarek wasn't taken?

So all Characters are choosen before you distribute the titel cards, henc the line of sucsession is used just as described in step 5.

What happens in a game where no-one picks the political/military leader to qualify for the title cards?

Do the title cards stay out of play, or do they still get seeded down to the line of succession ? Because sometimes there are crisis cards that say: president chooses, and then the president discards 2 cards... which is kinda hard without a president. I might have missed this in the rules, but can't find it myself.

Go after succession. There is always an admiral and the president.
