Hey everyone,

I learned to play this game around 4 years ago, bought a bunch of cards made some decks and had some fun.

I wanted to know how much the game has changed, and if my cards are still usable or if I have to start all over.

If you have your own play group there is nothing stopin gyou from using all your old cards along side the LCG cards.

If your joining an existing play group i'm sure they play multiple formats. need to aks them though.

If you want to play at gencon then you are kind of stuck inbetween right now. The formats supported there are going to be Core Set only, LCG only (Core set plus chapter packs), and Legacy (every set is legal, but only 1 copy of a card per deck). Why i say your inbetween is that while Legacy allows you to use older cards, you need access to as many sets as possible to build a strong deck (becuase of the 1x restriction).

But i'd imagine your in scenerio #1 or #2 and should be able to get enough use out of your old cards.

Game is still the same. A few new mechinics, but only one that adds something completly new to the game (shadows) and is only in the two newest chapter packs so far. The gameplay might focus on different things now, but it shouldn't drastically have changed your play style from before.
