Manouver Tool In Development?

By Beatty, in Star Wars: Armada

I know that the Manouver tool is not going to be here by the time Wave 1 is released, FFG's prerogative, but why is it listed as In Development? It's been made and distributed with every starter box out there. :P

I know it is a stupid question but I just found it silly.

(And it is a rhetorical question that doesn't need answering either.:D)

I've noticed their tags can be a bit misleading, or out of sync sometimes.

Sometimes I think it reflects their internal development and manufacturing cycles more than it does actual current market availability and distribution.

In Development is just the default stage for anything not has not yet been manufactured, but also never been released. If it was previously released, it would say Awaiting Reprint.

They are probably putting all available tools in core sets right now. Or have not started the process of printing the packaging.

Maybe holding on printing for community feedback? Or doing a redesign with different materials or manufacturing process?

I thought it was a separate design that would be easier to separate into a smaller movement tool as needed.

Having received my core set today, the manoeuvre tool is a little on the shonky side. Looks to me like it won't last through much repeated use. So maybe it should still be in development ;)

Anyone looked into re-engineering the movement tool? Adding magnets to or reenforcing the tool somehow? I see a lot of people painting, modeling, doing stuff to the command/speed dials, but nothing about modifications to the movement tool.

Designing the packaging and associated artwork. Plus it isn't a rush compared to the ISD.

If you watch the gencon demos the manuvering tool was different, it was primarily cardboard instead of plastic. Mabey they are changing it back to that design.

Also funny that this thread has even lasted this long, I was just pointing out a silly way they lable their upcoming products. :P
