Star Wars Campaign Stories and Fiction

By OggDude, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I thought I might start a topic where we could share stories, backgrounds, or other fiction we've written, based on SWRPG campaigns that we've run. I'll start off with two stories that I've written, both ostensibly origin stories for PCs in the campaign that I'm running, but also introduction stories for a couple of adventures and story arcs that are still going on.

The Darkness Within

This is the origin story of our twi'lek Force-sensitive. The player had an idea of a Force user that was experimented on by the Empire, along with a bunch of other Force-sensitives, for reasons unknown. Besides being hunted by the Empire, she also has an obligation to find and help the other victims. When I decided to do a major story arc based on her background, I wrote this story to fill in the blanks. It has also given us a great reoccurring villain that still strikes fear into the PCs hearts.

Blue Addiction

This is a smaller semi-origin story for our half-Arkanian outlaw tech. I wrote this one as an introduction to a short one-session adventure I put together that everyone ended up just loving. If some of the names and places sound familiar, it's because the adventure was based on Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" films, specifically the first one. The adventure was simple, and the NPCs were colorful, whacky, and terrifying. I even played the "Kill Bill" soundtrack in appropriate places to give it the full affect. The PCs ended up concluding the adventure without any blood shed, which, I know, isn't very Tarantino-esque :) But they loved the adventure and loved NPCs.

Anyway, I'd really like to read all of your stories and fiction, and I bet a lot of others would, too. So if you have any you'd like to share, post them here!

Great idea!

My contribution is less of a polished story and more a campaign diary that I will develop narrative stories out of later.

There's a lot of good stuff there to write stories about! And you should finish the Tina Turner song :)

I should probably add that everyone should feel free to comment on any of the stories, or suggest improvements or changes. Plus, if you only have ideas for stories, go ahead and throw them out here as well! You might get some great insights from the creative minds on the forums as to where you might want to take them :)
