Anyone can pass a page or some playmat files to create my own ? What would be a decent resolution ?
Cheers and thanks in advance guys.

Hmm, not sure, but you could check these links for various printable or purchasable mats:

Now we just need someone to start making a 3x6 mat for us lazy folks who can't be bothered to make one ourselves.

Yeah, the next time I see him, I'm gonna ask him how much the cost translated to dollars, and how easy the purchase and delivery was.
I like them all except the space battle one (which is cool, but doesn't fit what we're playing).
I'd have a hard time choosing.
Thank you all, specially you deathseed, i am taking some of those images with me today to have them printed :DD
I have 2 Armada 6 x 3 PVC mats from Deepcut, the Nebula theme and Deep space theme, both are marvellous. I have a 6 x 4 mat suitable for 40K also, that's also very nice. Recommended.
Are there any North American shops that carry the DeepCut mats?
Or are you guys just ordering them from the UK?
Man them deepcut mats are insanely beautiful.
Not sure I'd want to order from the UK though.. I wonder how long it would take to get here? I'd imagine around 2-3 weeks.
Thinking it would be around $60 with shipping.
I'm considering just buying an identical $40 gF9 mat for the 3x6..
Malev
I was not able to find any 3x6 GF9 mats.
Picked up one of their 3x3 (X-Wing) $40 mats and have been really happy with it.
Well,
A local printer quoted me $80 USD for a vinyl full color (I did explain what the image is) mat.
You can get super high resolution REAL space photos from these sites.

Oh, and this is my favorite image for a playmat, it is the Orion Nebula. There are over 3,000 stars in this image!
Would print out full size and resolution a 60" x 60" and is 309 million pixels! (18,000x18,000).
Click on the 'Highest Quality Download Option' link on the page to get the full res version.

Those deepcut mats are beautiful!
How thick it is? Mousepad material?
Lithuania is only few hundred km south of me, so it would be here in few days! Of course its easter so if I order now it would take atleast a week.
Cheers

The one the guy I know had was real thin, but felt very durable and almost silky.
****, I really want one made from mousepad stuff.
Edited by powerwolfI might be trying this:
Regular poster print, cheap, mounted on flat poster board.
Spray posterboard with Plasti-Dip Clear coat. (might require a matte spray first)
I use Plasti-dip for alot of stuff I build, just never the clear coat yet, on posterboard.
Plasti Dip Clear Multi-Purpose Rubber Coating Aerosol
Edited by wjgoI just backed this kickstarter:

$50 for a 3 x 6 mousepad starfield is pretty great.
No EU shipping...I would have pledged...
I ordered a nebula, it will take around 2 weeks to arrive tho, but it looks pretty good.
It's really too bad mygamemats.com closed up shop. He made some really nice mousepad material mats.

Also, I'd recommend a 6x4 mat. The majority of other games run on this standard size and you can easily mark off the mat for 6x3. It saves you money if you try any of the other great games out there like firestorm armada. I can't fathom why FFG choose to go with this size for x-wing or armada.
Try Vista print.

Found this at my local Academy Sports & Outdoor store. $29.99. It is 3mm thick made of a sort of rubber. Just cut 6" off one end and you have a 3'x6' playmat with starfield already on it.

You need to lay it down reverse of the curl when you unroll it, but it works well after it flattens out. I picked up a couple of these to supplement my collection of mats for the tournament I am supposed to run on July 18th.
