Flavour Text

By Spidey NZ, in Imperial Assault Campaign

I there,

I was wondering if you imperial players read anything extra out in the flavour text to make the game more personal. for example in the campaign they have the little light blue boxes that you read out to the rebels, they include dialogue and descriptions of stuff. Do add to it at all?

My example was

Mak's side mission has the royal guard champion and some royal guards. it is played on the planet Ord Mantell, The rebels had to destroy the facility. in my campaign the rebels blew up everything and left the planet.

in the following story mission 'Drawn in.' the rebel ship is captured and the rebels are on a star destroyer. Later in the game, it introduces the royal guard champion. the flavour text describes him and it feels like it is the first time you faced him.

I added to this specific text. 'the door opens, and out steps a familiar figure he is dressed in a dark red and black cloak that has scorches and burn damage. it appears that it is the same Royal guard that you faced on Ord Mantell, he has survived your encounter and it was he who tracked down your ship, he reveals his name is Canor Jax. it looks like he has one thing on his mind. revenge.'

My rebel players were really surprised and got excited. they did managed to escape the the star destroyer, but Canor Jax is still alive. I felt the made the campaign feel more personal to the players. Just wanted to know if you guys do the same.

I like that. I too was a little sad at his description in Drawn in. Luckily, my rebels had not seen him before so I was able to make it work.
