Dark Heresy Pulls a Rosette on the ENnies

By TS Luikart, in Dark Heresy

So lads and lasses - we wracked up quite a few nominations at the ENnies :

Best Interior Art - Dark Heresy Core

Best Production Values - Dark Heresy Core

Best Rules - Dark Heresy Core

Best Adventure - Purge the Unclean

Best Monster or Adversary - Creatures Anathema

Best Supplement - Disciples of the Dark Gods

Best Game - Dark Heresy Core

Product of the Year - Disciples of the Dark Gods

My thanks to all of you for sticking with this game through all the ups and downs with Black Industries closing and Fantasy Flight taking over. It means more than you know. More special thanks to all the playtesters who have stayed the long course, Schoon, Nathan, Hellebore - cheers boys.

Whooo :D

Go Dark Heresy!

No surprise there. Although being a huge WH40K fanboy (well as a matter of fact I am of a rather slim body-type, but you know what I mean), you can't deny that Dark Heresy is a really good RPG, regardless of how much or little you like WH40K.

Congrats!

That's quite a string of awards. Very nicely done, I must say.

That's awesome, thanks for letting us know. Here's hoping we win lots of 'em.

"Best rules"?? sorpresa.gif

I am sorry, but the core rule book "as printed" sports a sizeable errata for all it´s bugs & "things-not-clear".

I like the game, but I do not that the rule book should earn a price for "best rules"

HERETIC!

Well, they got nominated for "Best Rules," not "Best Proof-Reading". Congratulations to everyone involved in the game. I think it's the best RPG line I've ever seen.

Although I don´t second Gregorius´ missgivings about Best Rules nominations (I consider them pretty awesome as a whole), I´m dubious about Purge the Unclean being best adventure nominate... well, meh...

On the other hand, I think that Dark Heresy Core and especialy Disciples of the Dark Gods should shake their categories, for example I can´t imagine greater internal artwork as in WH40k supplement and DotDG are so far one of the best addons to the game system I´ve ever seen, so I´m crossing my fingers and congratulate to everybody involved:)

whoo! now we have shiny medals to wear when we shoot down heretics...like Gregarious...kidding :)

Awesome; and deserves it completely. Since we got the book in February last year Dark Heresy has become our "go to" game, and my group is one that's often switching games; despite the huge errata it's probably the ruleset I've houseruled the least and offers a very solid base to build on, so I'd vote under "best rules".

And damnit if it isn't one of the sexiest beasts amongst my RPG books.

Oh yeah!

GW must be kicking themselves for such a loss of earnings.

Would have bought a different crowd in to their stores.

Lolz

Yeah this is really the game that got us back into the swing of regular gaming again, rather than once or twice a year... So I'm not surprised!

Yeah, but what do they look like? Seriously, congrats to FFG!

It's for the better of mankind really. If GW were producing it they would overprice the books severely, like with just about every f**ing thing they sell.

It's nice to see all the hard work of the authors has been recognised, congratulations. cool.gif

I agree with many of the nominations, especially Disciples of the Dark Gods as best supplement.

Hellebore

I like it that Disciples of the Dark Gods grabbed two prizes. That book is absolutely the best roleplaying product I ever read!
