I don't play "rebel scum" a lot but I like the name of this list so I my give it a go

100 Points

49 points
Corran Horn
E-Wing
R2-D2, Accuracy Corrector, Push the Limit, Shield Upgrade
39 points
Etahn A’baht
E-Wing
R5-K6, Flechette Torpedoes, Push the Limit
12 points
Bandit Squadron Pilot
Z-95 Headhunter

I have been looking at AC on Corran Horn too with PTL but I am looking at the generic R2 on him to help deal with the stress from PTL.

I am trying to find/do the math on hit probabilities with AC vs. TLs. I think the AC will be better as he will be able to use actions for defense to make him more survivable but there is more math involved and not enough coffee.

My idea for Corran Horn was you will be shooting twice (with AC) and pusing the limits every second turn, every other turn you green manuver for de stress, position and an extra shield and evade.

This is one of my builds that I am tweeking. My thought was Corran can potentially focus and evade for defense using PTL, then R2 helps him be less predictable shedding stress. The B wing can either stress or damage the opponent and provide some endurance.

Okay, so I'm going to focus attention on the OP's list. (I threw it into an online squad builder so that it's easier to make changes.)

Shield Upgrade (4)

Etahn A'baht (32)

The first thing that caught my attention is that Push the Limit doesn't have much to do on Corran. Accuracy Corrector is a nice upgrade for him because it allows him to essentially ignore his offensive actions, but that means the only actions left are barrel roll and evade--and Push the Limit just for barrel roll seems like overkill. So you could make Corran substantially better by swapping out Shield Upgrade (which probably isn't worth 4 points even on an E-wing) for an Engine Upgrade. Even better, R2-D2 and Engine Upgrade are a good pairing because the boost action means you can get to more positions after a green maneuver.

The second thing is that you assigned R5-K6 to Etahn. R5-K6 is basically an unreliable version of Fire Control System, so since you're not running a system slot on Etahn, I'd replace the droid with the system...

...except that the third thing I thought of is that Etahn also doesn't have much to do here. He can't modify Corran's attacks if Corran is using the Accuracy Corrector, so Etahn will usually affect only his own attacks and the Headhunter's. And that privilege costs you 39 points, which probably isn't a very good deal.

So although it breaks your squad name, I'd replace Etahn with something else. You have 51 points if you lump in the Z-95, which leaves you enough for a lot of choices. Some that sound okay to me:

  • 4x Bandit Squadron Pilot
  • 3x Prototype Pilot + Autothrusters
  • 2x Blue Squadron Pilot + FCS or Advanced Sensors
  • 2x Gold Squadron Pilot + Ion Cannon Turret + R2 Astromech + BTL-A4
  • Chewbacca + Gunner + C-3PO + Millennium Falcon
  • Leebo + Determination + Recon Specialist + Heavy Laser Cannon + Outrider

WOW that is a great analisis of the list .... thanks for all those very valid points

I agree. Ethan wants at least 2-4 other ships that he can buff their attacks. Really he wants at least 3.
