<insert BGG-style thumbs up>

- Mariana the ex-nun cultist

I think/recall Mariana = cw76q (or something like that I seemed to read in the thread).

Who else is still around? ColtsFan76 only hangs out at BGG (that I know of, haven't been following the BSG forums here).

I was on the old forum, same handle. I stayed out of the last great ritual of voting for the most part.

357magnum was my old name. I'm still proud for devouring Amanda.

Oh, Darrell! He deserved winning *so* much! corazon.gif

Don't know how much of it is down to popularity, but Personal Stories have definately shifted things (for those who have them). Vincent was crappy before and got an even worse PS. Dexter apparently went up (I'm not buying it, he still sucks gran_risa.gif ), Mary was the most voted person in the last poll, going up and down like no other (Mandy I think was the 2nd most voted).

Addendum: Travesty's account of the # of positive votes each investigator received last time around:

"The only person to get only one positive vote: Rex Murphy – And for good reason.

Two Votes: Tony Morgan, Dexter Drake and Leo Anderson – How weird is it that despite having the same support, Leo got third and Dexter got thirty-second?

Three Votes: Marie Lambeau, Mark Harrigan, Monterey Jack and Charlie Kane

Four Votes: Lonely Lola Hayes

Five Votes: Wilson Richards and Kate Winthrop

Six Votes: Jacqueline Fine, Luke Robinson and Vincent Lee – Vincent received a pretty good amount of support, but it didn’t save him.

Seven Votes: Carolyn Fern and Gloria Goldberg

Nine Votes: Darrell Simmons, Jim Culver and Amanda Sharpe

Ten Votes: Jenny Barnes and Joe Diamond – I woulda thought Joe had more supporters than this. I was surprised he went down so early.

Eleven Votes: Harvey Walters, Michael McGlen, Bob Jenkins and Diana Stanley – It still blows me away that Diana had this many supporters. To a lesser degree, the same with Michael McGlen. (I thought I was the only one)

Twelve Votes: Ashcan Pete and Lily Chen – This accounts for the top five winners. The rest of these guys must have a LOT of supporters and even more haters.

And we’re into the final five!

In fifth place, with thirteen votes --- Rita Young! Showing us that she’s a survivor in polls as well. (well, kinda)

In fourth, with sixteen votes --- Daisy Walker!! Proving that you can’t satiate AH fans with massively overpowered characters! But you can get darn close.

In third, with eighteen votes --- Wendy Adams!!! She remains the most misunderstood and misused investigator, but obviously some people out there like her.

In second with a massive twenty-nine votes --- Mandy Thompson!!!! The most beloved of the beloved. Everybody likes Mandy, even the people who voted against her (me). We just had a few characters we liked even more.

And in first place, sliding by with thirty votes --- Sister Mary!!!!! Even with this many positive votes, she was the eighth person voted off. That means she got 40 negative votes in the time it took only 7 people to get kicked off. Now THAT is a LOT of haters. Bless you Mary, I’ve never had a dull game with you. "

I was there. I just was never there at the right time to take anyone out. However I did take out three of the Old Ones in the other great ritual.

That's right, that's me. Crap name eh? It was from my first email alias at work, I'm still called "cw67q" on many places on the net where it became too entrenched. I switched to "Mariana the ex-nun cultist" after (or during?) last years voting in homage to my two favourite invetsigators.

Actually I wasn't around for a long time until Innsmouth caught my interest again.

Victimizer was here last time around Jedit and Gott too, I think. Mageith appears to have been here forever. I'm sure there are plenty of others.

gui%C3%B1o.gif I thought this when I saw the post last week (?) about German's being better at mythos than Italians due to what they did in their spare time.

I ate Daisy & Rex last time. I also kept voting against Dexter (sorry Dex)

Well, given that I started it last time too... lengua.gif

I think the reason Leo got so far with so little support last time is the same reason a few of the Innsmouth investigators are doing so well this time. They're unfamiliar enough that they aren't being voted down for being overly weak or strong, but when they do start to drop they don't get saved, because nobody's yet fully clued into why they're better than they look.

I think the most interesting thing we'll be able to compare afterwards is the effect of the Personal Stories.

I KNEW I recognized these attitudes!!! Gott always has a strong opinion (and an often brutal way of getting it across demonio.gif), and Mariana always makes me feel like I'm a "student in his class" (and sometimes "disappointing the professor". gui%C3%B1o.gif)

Nice to know you guys didn't disappear! cool.gif

Now someone find Millmaster!!!

mamma mia that's keen of you. I usually wouldn't notice a Shoggoth entering my room, unless it asked for directions- I mean, have you ever seen a Shoggie saying anything else than Tekeli-li? preocupado.gif

Uh sorry if I didn't reply sooner but you know, I was having some spare time. gran_risa.gif

(couldn't resist saying that XD )

I never specified what "class" you were "teaching". I was merely commenting on a certain authoritative tone. (Dam's got one of those too.)

Are you sure it isn't because you picture me wearing a nun's (?) habit?
