Blown up ship - anyone using debris token?

By Rich J, in Star Wars: Armada

Anyone thinking about - or doing this, makes sense in my head but haven't tried it yet. :)

I thought about it, and I definitely will try it.

It'd be a cool optional rule.

Totally. I've actually done this in X-Wing too. It adds a little to the game.

interesting

does the debris move at the last heading and speed of the destroyed ship or would that be over the top

That'd probably be tedious but interesting. Granted, in other space games I've seen the movement of debris and asteroids get tracked (but those were all hex-based games), and it certainly added something to the experience. Having to consider where the rocks are moving really makes you pay close attention to how you move your ships.

I could see it making one of those iconic "asteroid hits the star destroyer bridge" moments come to life.

roflmbo

{celebrations all around the bridge}

Yea we destroyed that Imperial Cruiser that was heading toward the planet

{nav guy chimes in}

umm guy I am tracking the debris field and it looks like the capitol city is gonna get creamed

Yeah, I thought this would be cool too. I would definitely add it to any Campaighn House rules!
