The small Rebel strike force consisting of the CR90 Corvette "Dodonna's Pride", and the Nebulon B Escort Frigate "Redemption" was not expecting trouble. The listening station "Outpost Zero" was presumed abandoned, and was thus easy pickings for a quick raid. The Rebels hoped to scavenge any equipment they could get their hands on- particularly sensitive long-range sensor equipment which would help alert them to the approach of any Imperial task forces. When the fleet dropped from hyperspace, they were not expecting what they saw through the asteroid fields and debris from long-ago battles: AVictory Star Destroyer. Was it a random patrol? Were they detected on approach? Was it a trap? General Dodonna gave a concise, bold order: "Attack!"

I have two more battle reports coming after this one- we've been hitting it pretty hard!

Great read and nice job on the damage effects.

Nice read nice to see the rebels winning some :)

Are the Rebels in general getting pummeled? So far we've seen the Rebels win the lion's share.

Sounds like the Imperial fighter cover was lacking. The Rebels have done the Lions share of winning if they can get their fighters into the capital ship game. So far, they have some of the most total victories going in our group. The Empire is just to slow to react when they plan their commands poorly.

It's been mostly imperials where I am ... but I've never seen a VSD without 5 Tie Fighters guarding it (1 being Howlrunner) ...

Yeah, it really is the X-Wings that push it over the top. This game was the FFG suggested fleet to use after the LTP, so I blame them for their lack of faith. We'll try going with max TIE-fighters next time, see if that helps!

Anyone else try this mission yet? We assumed it'd strongly favor the Empire (for nor anyway)- and it seemed to be doing so, before the SD blew up spectacularly!
