I'm just gonna say the following : It's tough having sales numbers when product doesn't hit the shelves.

Just going to point out they put out their expected release schedule at one point and based on that we could extrapolate when things were coming out. Secondly since the first set for the year was delayed twice, you can assume that release ended up delaying the tekken release. since even by your every 4 month thing it would have been released in may and now it would be 4 months late from there...
But yeah. Have to say even I'm more than iffy about UFS atm. We have the delay to end all delays...which was a utter complete failure because we had another delay. Then we're told no more foily and only 1 set per release so those who have favorite franchises are just screwed. Add in ontop of that FFG dumping all of their backstock on us saying ITS AWESOME! WE'RE GIVING YOU GUYS SO MUCH FREE STUFF! When really we're getting the stuff no one bought...and likely no one's going to buy since they're pushing a new format which none of that trash is even legal in annnnnd rotation (as horrible as it will be next year at some point) is semi around the corner. Then as if to kick people while they're down they offer the fight night recruitment kit with the same ol stuff that no one is buying but with promos...and 3 exclusive characters. So those of us who already have all that stuff get to spend $45 to get the kit, or find someone who's willing to trade such, or find somewhere where they're being sold online. Then ontop of that you have things like Dead for 1000 Years, lack of a FFG provided printable version of the rules, and other such nonsense.
All in all at this point I have a decidedly large lack of faith in the game and where its going.
Is there any way I can actually reply to this thread and be constructive?

From what I can tell, many players don't collect more then a couple of cards from each set, because they can't afford to get complete sets with the rapid release of sets.
A base set of 2 144 cards sets just came out a couple of months back, and there's been a whack of bannings, making a whole bunch of stuff from those sets even more viable then they were before.
So to say that there isn't product on the shelves really isn't a fair statement. It's not like they release a battle box 2 months ago, and haven't released anything otherwise for 6 months.
At our store we don't have Set 12.
Well, we have Starters. But the boosters sold out in a couple of weeks. We haven't been able to get more SoulCalibur4. We got one more booster box of ShadoWar, and that sold out within a week or so.
Does our distributor just suck?

No, but my purchasing capacity of Set 12 has reached it's limit. There's only so much I'm willing to put in a set until another comes out. For example, due to the fun I've had playing Tiny Syphillis format, I'm anticipating a lot (for me) of purchasing capacity for Tekken (especially considering that I've 3 characters I want to build in there). However, I'm not exactly thrilled at the possibility of buying Set 12 outside the Starters, because I generally have everything I could want in there, and the rest will be picked up in two sets time, when people will have moved on.

Sounds like it. Our shop has has no issues replenishing back stock.

And Hatman - you're waiting for people to get bored of playing with Set 12 to pick up their leftovers cheap. ::shrugs:: not much I can suggest for you there. Especially since the bans kinda reinvigorate the game.

Well, it's cards I don't want at the moment. When I want them, maybe I'll buy more ;p
