I'm not sure I understand the question, but I dump them in with the rest of them when Nyarl is AO. After a couple of times with only 1 Mask showing up, I tried Nyarl with a "filtered" Cup (just AH and IH monsters, as well as any monsters that can ever be considered Cultists, and ALL the Masks), and only the Skinless One showed up.

I suppose I should wonder if ranking him so low has hurt his feelings, and now he doesn't want to play with me anymore.

I should have been more clear. What I meant was, do you really mix the Masks up with the monsters already in the cup? Or do you just sprinkle them on top of the monasters already there? I do the latter and I make sure to always take the first monster my finger lands on when I reach into the cup. Naturally the result is a lot more Masks showing up :)

Ahhhh. Heh. You're talking about an "oops, did I do that?" style of Cup-rigging. Yeah, I do indeed perform a mass-shuffling, but I'm not above trying it your way, or Nyarlathotep-with-Spawn-Masks-style either.

Hey, Nyarlathotep's card says to add the Mask monsters to the cup, and I'm adding them to the cup :). No rule-breaking here, and let's face it, Nyarlathotep needs all of the help he can get. Doing it this way I tend to see around four or five Mask monsters on the board per game, and that makes for a much more enjoyable experience. And this way you still have a chance to encounter Mask monsters in the Other Worlds. I fondly remember the time Sister Mary met the Beast in Lost Carcosa.
