By Attila-IV, in Dark Heresy

We've returned from Origins 2009 and have posted the first of what should be several videos concerning Nox Terminus, our Warhammer 40K LARP. Further videos and pictures will follow. If you have any questions, please ask.

That looks like it was a lot of fun! I wish I'd been able to go.

Hopefully you'll run more in the future.

We are in the early stages of planning another 40K LARP for Origins 2010. In the mean time I might try to get a local game together to iron out some more of the rules.

where is your inquisitor's cell stationed? (in non imperial terms where do you guys meet?)

The LARP itself took place at Origins in Columbus Ohio. I'm currently located in Nicholasville Kentucky, about seven minutes south of Lexington. My two partners in crime who co-created the LARP are located in New Orleans and New Jersey. We meet whenever we can, the next time being GenCon. That being said, I'm always up for running Dark Heresy. If I can drum up the right kind of interest and can line some space up I could easily get a supplemental 40K LARP together in the Kentucky/Ohio area.

Hi Attila

The game looks excellent! The costumes look brilliant and its seems evereyone certainly had a good time!

I am wondering whether I could persuade you to join a forum I am part of. A friend of mine is currently in the process of rules generation and testing for our own 40K larp. The first game will be in October. I'm sure your extensive experience and any insights you might have would be invaluable.

Our website is here: http://www.deathuntodarkness.org/index.html

If anyone is also ineterested generally please also feel free to join.

Maybe we need to start thinking of having some kind of international 40k larp community!

If I was notified sufficiently in advance, I'd definitely be willing to travel to play in a 40k LARP. (Though probably not internationally. gui%C3%B1o.gif)

Thank you all for the kind words. I've just joined Death Unto Darkness, and i should be posting there soon. On the subject of traveling to a game, how far in advance is far enough? A year? Six months? Three months?

We've just posted a new video, this one including in-game audio. The video can be found

I would say six months is ideal. That has typically been enough when I travel to conventions for one specific event (a LARP game, a particular guest, etc). Personally, I can make do with less, but it just depends on the circumstances. I might have turned up at Origins this year were it not for the same thing keeping me from Gen Con- I used up all my vacation time and travel money going to Japan this spring.happy.gif

Looks cool Attila. Nice to have the audio.

That looks spectacularly fun, and the costumes and props are brilliant. This kind of game can live or die according to the quality of costumes and props, and you've all done spectacularly well.

I feel it's worth mentioning, the girl in the gown is a classic gothic beauty.
