Thought I'd start my own painting and WIP thread to keep track of my Imperial Assault miniatures. Started painting these in earnest the other day, and will continue to do so over the next few months, amongst other projects.

I followed Sorastro's painting guide for the lightsaber. You can check out a video detailing how in the thread pinned to the top of the forum.

Basically, it's a red basecoat, with progress amounts of silver mixed in for the highlight.

It's actually pretty simple, but requires a steady hand and a brush with a decent tip.

I simply painted a circle of black on the raised patch of his shoulder, then used white to paint a crescent moon shape, then a stripe down the middle.

Then go over it with red paint.
