If for example, a cylon player uses the caprica location and choses to resolve a card that seas '' Current player choses'' and it states pass=no effect, Fail=-2 food OR -1 food.
Is the cylon player allowed to chose what is to happen?

Yes, he can. Rule book, page 20.
"When a revealed Cylon player draws a Crisis Card that poses a choice for the current player, that player makes the decision"
Cheers.
BTW. Its my first post on this forum so...hello everyone.

Just to be clear. He is able to make the choice on if the players should take the skill challenge or not. But does not get to choose the end result of the skill challenge ![]()

True, but knowing what the skill challenge will require, he also knows what his odds are of forcing it to fail.
Or by simply throwing a low value politics card in, even if its positive, forces a lot of extra cards to be played due to the 5 point swing they may have introduced. If there are two Cylons next to each other it works quite well to strip cards before dumping a Super Crisis card in the mix.
I'm sorry, but that could still be confusing.
Yes, the revealed cylon player gets to make the choice whenever it says "The Current Player chooses 'A' OR 'B'," regardless if a skill check is involved. That is, he gets to choose either A or B. In addition, if there is a choice within the original choice, he would also get to make tha choice. For example, the Guilt By Collusion pass reads "The current player may choose a character to move to the "Brig." And don't forget that revealed Cylons are NOT affected by the abilities on the cards (e.g can't be sent to the Brig, or forced to discard).
