Paint Schemes
All painted with GW paints; names are actual jar names (I have a mix of older and newer versions of the paints; there’s a conversion guide if you’re buying new versions only)
On all, figure out the sequence to paint to minimize re-touching, e.g. some old school guides say paint in order the person gets dressed but I don’t necessarily do that anymore
For example, on the trooper paint skin base color, paint shirt base color, paint jacket base color then dry brush, then clean up shirt and wash, paint boots and dry brush, then paint pants and wash, clean up skin and wash
This lets you get a heavy dry brush without being too careful since you’re going to paint the other parts later anyway…
Rebel Saboteur
Skin: hawk turquoise, asurmen blue wash, dry brush ice blue
Gun: abbadon black, dry brush boltgun metal
Boots: mournfang brown, devlan mud wash
Pants: graveyard earth, devlan mud wash
Shirt: skull white, badab black wash, skull white highlight
Jacket: ushabti bone or screaming skull (I forget), devlan mud wash, ushabti bone or screaming skull highlight
Backpack/straps: charadon granite, dawnstone dry brush; I intentionally didn’t try and paint chest as part of the shirt or jacket, just left it same color as backpack
Metal canisters/bombs on chest: boltgun metal (directly over charadon granite), badab black wash, boltgun metal highlight
Goggles: abbadon black, dawnstone dry brush, fortress grey (lenses)
Base: abbadon black
Krylon matte finish spray
Rebel Trooper
Skin: dheneb stone, devlan mud wash, devlan mud wash again, dheneb stone highlight (nose only); didn’t paint eyes
Helmet: Skull white, abbadon black; antenna: abbadon black, dry brush boltgun metal; strap: abbadon black
Shirt: [light blue…it’s an older jar and the label was off!], asurmen blue wash (chest and sleeve creases only)
Jacket: charadon granite, dawnstone dry brush
Belt: abbadon black, boltgun metal
Pants: mordian blue, asurmen blue wash, mordian blue highlight/dry brush
Boots & hip pouch: abbadon black, dawnstone dry brush
Base: abbadon black
Krylon matte finish spray
Hope this helps...
