whose ability wins? chewie says "When you are dealt a faceup Damage card, immediately flip it facedown (without resolving its ability)."

rexler says "After you perform an attack that deals at least 1 Damage card to the defender, you may spend a focus token to flip those cards faceup."

it would seem to me that chewbacca happens on the deal and rexler happens after the deal since its after the attack is over. am I right?

If you score crits with Rexler, they get flipped down for Chewies ability, then Rexler can use his ability to flip them face up. Chewies ability only activates when cards are dealt face up.

Rexlar's ability gets around most crit protection in the game because he doesn't deal a card. Leebo, Chewie, Determination, and Salvaged Astromech are all powerless to prevent Rexlar's ability from flipping up crits.
