I haven't bought the box set and don't intend on playing the campaign, only skirmish. I'm wondering what cards/ counters are used in skirmish so I can store all the stuff I won't be using (or maybe sell them?)

Damage tokens, command cards, terminals, crates, mission markers, deployment cards.

Command cards, condition tokens, initiative token, terminal tokens, crate/beacon tokens (you will use most of the tokens to be fair, no all, but almost). I also like to keep a couple copies of the condition cards for reference. The door tokens (I wish I had more), and the skirmish mission cards.

What you won't use are all the campaign specific cards, and there are a ton of agenda cards and reward cards etc.

I have never played campaign and don't particularly care to. I've never read any of the campaign book. When I bought it, I just read the rules and took out all the skirmish stuff. Pretty easy to do and the rest of it stayed in the box. I dipped back into it later for tokens that I realized would be helpful for certain skirmish missions, but thats about it.

thanks. this should make the game easier to store and carry around. tbh, i think FFG kinda goes overboard on components and cards, but whatever

And the Initiative Token gets used exclusively by skirmish.
