Hi all,

Has anyone had any luck running an A-Wing swarm?

I'm looking at something along the lines of -

5 x Green Sqn Pilot: A-Wing Test Pilot, Chardaan Refit, Wingman, Adrenaline Rush.

But I'm not sure about how effective it'll be.

Lol, I know. PTL sounds good.

I find this list solid:

Prototype/Chardaan x4 (60)

Etahn - R2D2, Predator (39)

Gives As some punch (hello, Decimator) and decent closer in Etahn, plus solid resilience.

5 Prototypes with protons is supposed to be fun!

There are many combinations of A-Wing swarms that I have been trying or aim to try in the near future as they are my favourite ship to use.

5 Prototypes all with proton rockets could be fun to use and could potentially take out a Decimator and even a phantom pretty quick! After which it would probably be touch and go whether they can deal with the other opponents.

The four named pilots can be fitted into a 100 point build too. Give all bar Jake PTL and then you have 3 other points you can use to add more elite talents. I've used this twice, once against a Scum team who I tactically done a great job, and the other day against a Phantom + 4 ties....I got slaughtered in that one.

Even though Ties and A Wings are pretty similar in dice rolling I seem to always fare worse.

I'd prefer a Corran r5p9 FCS as he hits harder and that 4pt survivability is quite limited in the end game
