Since we know Garm Bel Iblis is in the game, can we expect Thrawn and Paelleon as well?

Admiral Ackbar is a given with the mon cal cruiser. Crix Madine should also pop up. Who else do we want?

Well I look at things from an imperial view so Kendal Ozzel (Admiral Nozzel :lol:) and Lorth Needa (pre-choke of course). Firmus Piet. Maarek Stele (for this and X-Wing). Maybe even Demetrius Zaarin.

I see what you did there.

I will speculate their either, or both Mon-Ca cruisers will have the Gladiator's ability to move - then shoot - but move farther.

waiting for a YT-1300, or stock freighters converted into Gunships

like to have more "Convoy" type ships or Prize ships so that we could have Convoy raids using these rules

Besides detecting Traps when they have been sprung, Ackbar was also famous for the "Ackbar Slash" which uses the better shields and speed of the Cruisers against Star Destroyers to perform a type of raking broadside. maybe his ability would allowing the Port or starboard arcs to fire after the ship moves (if the ship didn't fire before moving)

Well thrawns abilities would have to be some kind of awareness like seeing what commands your opponent uses or being able to change yours in response.

Ackbars could be evasive maneuvers, all ships change speed or something for free.

I'd think fishboy would probably modify navigate and Concentrate Fire commands in some way if we used RoTJ scenes as any indicator.

What if there was an upgrade called Force Chock. It would allow Imperials to change ship commanders and discard the old one. :P

Actually, that's kind of what I'm expecting from Vader. I see him as a crew upgrade that can only be taken aboard your flagship, with the ability: Remove your commander from the game. For the rest of the game, (insert brutally effective ability here).

I'm going to speculate that unless FFG comes out with some amazing ships (not the one that shall not be named) or maybe more smaller ones for the Empire, I may not purchase much else beyond Wave 2. I never have really follwed the EU other than through the grand strategic PC games. Beyond the ISD and the MonCal ships. I'll have it all, for my tastes anyway.

Oh I'll probably buy more of Wave 1 and 2 for big battles, but it's going to be a chalenge for FFG to pique my interest beynd those ships. I'll say this, if I recognize it, I'll probably buy two, if I don't, I'll pass.

Alternatively it could be the other way around: he could be a Commander with an ability to discard Officer cards for benefits. Like if you roll nothing but blanks for an attack you can discard the Officer to change the facing of all dice rolled (I'd consider rerolls, but Leading Shots already does that for a 1ad cost.) ? Or perhaps you can discard an Officer to activate all your dials at once?

I said this about X-Wing. Then I saw them. The other ships. I saw what they did, how they played. My heart ached. I was incomplete. I NEEDED them in my life.

Shutting down a ship would be so broketastic

I want to see an upgrade or character at some point to have an ability that has some form of battle meditation. The ability some force users have to increase the effectiveness of their own units and/or decrease the effectiveness of their opponents.
