Tasty's Question Thread

By hendersondayton, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

I am just going to be adding to this thread:

Do Large figures ignore the Black lines? We had a situation where a black line was the only thing that separated two exterior area's...(Massassi Ruins).

I need help understanding a special action. It seems its just an action? Besides how cool it is, it just takes up a normal action slot? What about TWO Special actions...does this mean that an entire activation is used up to do that one action?

With regards to the Massassi Ruins skirimish mission...when a figure carrying a Holocron dies, does he drop it where he died?

Can an AT-ST shoot in any direction?

Thanks for the help on these questions and any of them that come after (there will be plenty!)

(Tasty is my XB1 gamertag....not sure exactly why i put it in the subject. Forgot my username was not Tasty)

1. No, nothing ignores walls.

2. Yes and yes. However you can only use each special actions once in an activation.

3. Yes.

4. Yes, there is no such thing as facing. Same goes for the E-Web.

Started setting up the campaign last night and had a few questions:

Page 10 of the "Learn to Play guide...under the Campaign Setup section..

4. Build Agenda Deck: The Imperial player takes all Agenda cards and sorts them by set (listed in the upper-right corner of the card).

He chooses six Agenda card sets and shuffles these 18 cards to create the Agenda deck.

Questions:

1. There are only 6 sets so I assume you take them all?

2. I assume this is worded this way to allow for future expansions?

5. Build Side Mission Deck: After playing the introductory mission, heroes use Mission cards to choose which mission they will resolve next.
During this step of setup, Rebel players create the Side Mission deck that will be used during this campaign. They first sort the Side Mission cards by the color on the face of the cards. Then they create the Side Mission deck by shuffling together the following cards:
-- Each red Side Mission card corresponding to their heroes
-- Four green cards of the heroes’ choice
-- Four random gray cards (do not reveal these cards to any player)
Questions:
1. Is the "introductory mission" AFTERMATH or is it the one at the beginning of the "learn to play" book?
2. Four Green Cards / Four random gray cards - There are only 4 cards of each in the core.
3. There are Story Mission cards and Side Mission Cards. Are they both used in this step?
4. IF #3 is NO, what are the Story Mission cards for (they seem to be just flavor text?)
That's it for the campaign setup...thanks in advance!

Answers:

Agenda Deck:

1) There are 7 sets of 3 if you include the Vader villain pack. You choose 6 sets for your deck.

2) Correct, Weiss, IG-88 and RGC all came with an additional agenda set (we now have 10 sets total)

Rebel Side Mission Deck:

1) Learn to play book is the introductory mission. It is a one-off scenario meant to teach you basic rules and has nothing to do with the campaign. Aftermath is the first campaign mission.

2) In the core set, yes. Like the Imperial expansions, Rebel expansions Han, Chewie, Rebel Troopers / Saboteurs add more.

3) Story mission cards are NEVER added to any deck. Once you complete a mission, you will be instructed which story mission goes into play next.

4) They are there for some fluff, but also as a reminder of which story mission is next, since side missions get spliced in between story missions. Basically, you should always be able to tell at a quick glance which story mission and side missions are "active".
