How to defeat these lists

By theDestroyer00, in X-Wing

What are some good tactics to defeat double YT's and Bwing lists.

you're going to have to be more specific

do you mean double Yt-2400 and a B-wing (no joke, a player brought two HLC + IA fringers with a FCS blue into a tournie and cruised into 2nd place with only MoV keeping him below the winning player)?

or is it something else entirely?

Tie swarm traditionally does well against low agility lists.

The B's low agility is their downfall = throw many dice

Falcons are tough = throw many dice, while maintaining your arcs. The latter being almost impossible against certain builds and players.

Go back in time two days and use a phantom list :P

Swarm, be it TIE Fighter or Z-95

Cluster Missile Alpha

Control

7 z95's and a refit a wing should be able to autowin against those. Stack 8 TL's on something and vaporize it.

More interesting question these days should be - how to defeat fully loaded double IG's list :)

Put the asteroids/debris fields in the center of the board -> profit.

Fortunately each player only places 3 obstacles, so I can spread out the asteroid field at least a bit

For the Bwings I mean 3 or 4 of them, so many HP/Shields. As for the double YT's there are a few versions eg Chewie/Leebo or Han/Lando or Dash/Chewie etc.

I prefer not to run swarms, honestly doesn't everyone want to fly elite named pilots. As for the IG's I dont have a problem against them so far.

No. Personally, I am a fan of the anonymity of the generics, and the attachments that I gain towards them as the game goes on. I never start attached to number 8, but when he's the second to last one on the board, and has killed four of the enemy's tie fighters himself, well, I find I care more about the random dude than if I'd flown Vader. After all, if Vader doesn't do great, then there's something wrong.

DoubleYT's you should try and stress them out. They are a lot less potent without actions.

I thoroughly enjoy running Proof of Purchase, Arrows, and Skully.

Wait, those aren't supposed to be the official markers, and are intended for mission play or use in returns? Heh. Shows what you know!
