M3-A Laetin A'shera
Yes!
The Colours work really well !
The Orange markings look great against the grey.
great job. ![]()
What gray (or combination of colors) is that? And same with the orange? I've been looking high and low for shades near that for my first repaint idea-r.
Looks kind of like vallejo's "steel" with a little bit of black mixed in to darken it, or maybe whatever the citadel equivalent is. Shouldn't be too hard if you essentially have some shade of silver and either a black or a dark gray for mixing.

Currently using all Army Painter paints and Vallejo wash. The grey is a roughly 3:1 mix of matte white to matte black thinned, seperated into 3 gradients (base, panel, highlights). The orange is roughly a 4:1 mix of their daemonic yellow and pure red thinned, which took a few coats. Then 2 coats of black wash (might do 1 more), then a matte varnish.

Only looks silver/steel in the pic, due to the varnish maybe not being fully set and reflecting a light.. actually quite matte grey in person.

Laetin A'shera's ship is probably one of the easiest ones to paint since it just doesn't have many colours. I suppose it would be an excellent choice for beginners. Anyway, not bad. While I read above that you say it isn't metallic, it sure does look so in the pictures and a little photo magic (accidental or deliberate) is sometimes a good thing.
Edited by MacrossVF1Is that his ship from the MMO? Or you just make up the color scheme? Looks great, regardless of whichever.
Its from the Laetin A'shera card from X-wing.

These all look so much better than the incredible hulk stock colors.
Great job! That Orange really pops against the grey!
