Questions about squadrons

By Species9721, in Star Wars: Armada

Hi all,

a few questions about squadrons.

1: A squadron is one base?

2: A Victory 2 class Star Destroyer, based on its card, can have 3 squadrons assigned to it.

The core game comes with more squadrons than can be used?

Thanks in advanced for the replies.

A squad is one "base".

The Star Destroyer can only activate 3 squads when using the squad command dial but you can have more then 3 squads on the field (I'm fairly sure). There is an upgrade card you can use that increases the squad to 4.

Ninja'd. And yes you can have more squadrons than the total squadron value of your ship.

Remember also that any squads not ordered by Squadron Command Dials or Tokens get to EITHER move OR attack in the Squadron phase anyway. The Squadron value is just the Ships command and control capacity if you'd like to think of it that way.

Thanks guys :D

Squadrons are independent of the ships and aren't assigned or otherwise attached to any of them. They are fully independent and can be commanded by any ship in range. The only restriction is that no more than 1/3 of your points can be spent on squadrons.

There are no rules for launching fighters. All squadrons are assumed to have been launched before battle and they all have hyperdrive.
