Tried my hand at painting X-Wings too.

Dead easy! Red markings (Will do Blue and Green on the next) via the mold lines per another post I found here on the forums. Black for the cockpit/Engine fronts in the groove. Orange for the engine rear. Then I used a small brush to put 3 dots of varying colors for the R2 units. Finally, hit them liberally with a wash called Magic Mudd by CGR painters, and used Q-tips to soak up excess/clean up flat surfaces.

Bigger version on my Twitter (I'll also be posting more Armada stuff soon!) @SJMacLauchlan

I'm working on my stuff tonight! Looks good!

Thanks guys, you're an inspiration to those of us, afraid of taking the plunge of paintining miniatures!

On a side note though, the images on that twitter link? Look marvellous.

I especially liked this one of the VSD - SO SO epic!

Thanks for sharing! :D

No problem, glad you enjoyed them! Played a few games tonight- will post more later :)

I added two small red dots to the back of the TIE- that's a super easy project too, doesn't "print" well, but it's noticeable in person. Not sure if I want to paint the wings on those yet..

They look fantastic. Was a bit disappointed with the quality of the squadron models when I got my Core Set the other day but your pictures show just how great they can look with a bit of effort.

Now if only I my eye sight was up to the job and I had a steady enough hand
