By Enquiringnewt, in Star Wars: Armada

Hello again folks,

I received word today that the Armada Dice Packs are en route to U.S. distribution centers. I will update as I get a more solid date, but look for the end of next week (April 3rd) to the beginning of the following week.

Good hunting o7,

Newt

Edit #1:

Dice Packs are arriving at U.S. Distributors Friday, April 3rd. When I know the street date, you'll know.

Bump for knowledge.

Thanks again, Newt. :)

I have one Dice Expansion Pack on the way.

Although I am wondering if this is enough! Especially with the arrival of the Wave 2 behemoths!

Currently with the Core Set, the VSDs are throwing out up to 8 dice in a single attack!

MAXIMUM FIREPOWER!

How good is FFG's die rolling app? I could get a 2nd die pack, or the app for about the same price.

I have the app, but honestly I find it easier to just pick up a handful of dice and roll away, rather than selecting on a screen and so on.

The app works very well but as a 20+ year RPG player, I need to feel the dice in my hands, hear them hit the table.

I favor it. Once you know how to use it, it's quick and easy. You can roll as many dice as you want, do rerolls on as many dice as you want, add or remove dice as many at a time as you like, change any number of dice to whatever facing you want, or remove all the dice on the screen. As a bonus, it can be set to total all your dice results on screen and will even highlight which dice got what results just by tapping the summary icons. And you can set dice combinations to presets of your choice for easy access. Also it supports all the current FFG Star Wars games that use dice including the RPG (meaning you can buy the one app and never have to buy more dice for any of those games). It also has all the typical polyhedral dice you see in role-playing games. And you can set the rolling part of the app to show whatever of those dice you want to see in its selection bar.

Plus Star Wars sounds and backgrounds.

It's really a very well developed app.

huh

if you are not gonna roll dice you might as well pack it up and play online games at home

Conversely, if a company is going to publish a a game that requires specially colored and sided die with unique graphics, perhaps they should include enough die in the game.

they do give enough to play with

but i do understand your point also. they really could have put in the extra 3 sets of 3 dice with every box. just add it to the **** total already

Or, you know, do what I like with my games and not be bound by the approval of random people on the internet. ;)
