Idea here is Chewie covers Leebo as he stays back and arc dodges. Jan can convert lando focus rolls to evades as needed for up to 3 evades a round. I think with the mangler cannon we are going to see more chewie to avoid the crits.

I ran recon specialist instead of Lando and it did pretty well. I lost to a tie swarm but considering that being a good counter I may give this list more practice. EU came in handy on Leebo dodging arcs.

Tried your build and it did well against a rebel swarm. Predator worked especially well.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I ran it against a lot of T1 List, and has performed well, especially against lists with higher Ps, that are more played: Fat Han, Whisper swarm, Han + Keyan ecc. Predator on Chewbacca is essential to maximize the first attack, and Gunner for an average of 3 hit with focus. In late game you also have the evade action to dodge opponent's hit increasing the longevity of the Falcon.

Just realized I never updated this thread but this duo works great. I have only 5 games so far and have gone 4-1. My loss was my first game getting used to it and with different upgrades than suggested. My wins were against a Decimater list, Rebel Ace list, vader+interceptor+ties, and a fully loaded IGB+ filler scum.

Just a little more feed back abaut "Chewbo" with a tournament report :

Finally i run the evolution of my list with mango cannon and predator on Leebo in preparation of the Regional season in a local tournament: more awesome crit and usefull re-roll

1) W ( 100-0 ) Vs Heavy Tie swarm 5 Academy + Howlrunner + Scimitar tie bomber + ion pulse missiles + mf + seismic charge

I shot down the bomber first before he can use the missiles then my opponent try to stop me with Tie academy as blockers. Chewbecca "draw their fire" and remain with only one hull point, while Leebo remains with all shelds and hull.

My oppo concedes the game when Chewbacca runn away from fire alive and only two tie have to face off Leebo

2) W ( 100 - 0 ) Vs Amon Azaameen "full set" with 3 proton bombs ( TROLLOLOOOOOL CHEWBE! ) cluster missiles, inertial dump, counter measures + Drea Renthal with Y-Wing title, uninghed astromech, bomb loadout, seisimic charge and ion turret + ion torpedoes

No game, new player ( but he made the cut at the end ). I have always held my ships in front of Aemon that use only the cluster missiles, but Y-Wing was the first to be shot down.

3) L ( 38 - 100 ) Vs Fat Han and 3x Z95

The only list that i suffer a lot. My oppo is a friend, and always we fight face to face. I Shot donw quickly the Z95, but he has targeted Chewbacca with all the ships and I still keep it at R3 I always roll white dice, the same with Leebo. While my oppo, went out media with red dice. **** Happens :D

Then with 8 players, i'm in second place, in according with the tournament rule there is not official Top 4. ( For registration on Italian ranking )

But to simulate a competitive tournament in preparation for the regionals, we made and extra turn and a small top 4

i Won again 100-0 Vs Azaameen same game :P

W ( 57 - 0 ) Vs M3-A Ion Swarm: 5x Cartell Spacer with title and ion cannon + Serissu with title and flechette cannon

I try to do a setup of obstacles open enough to prevent the opponent ion cannon dropping me off the table . Then I forget all and I think he use mango cannons instead ( FACE PALM ). I do not move towards the center, but towards the up border of the table (as usual with this list for turn around and dodge obstacles) Chewbacca is ionized, but i use Leebo to block the movement and save him. After this turn Leebo is ionized, and think seriously to losing it, because it is dangerously close to the edge. Shot down a Cartel, and Leebo miraculously dodge with exceptional defensive dice with 2 focus three attacks on four.
I can turn finally the ship towards the center of the table, Chewbacca has only one hull point left the time is over and I win the match by breaking down four ships.

I won the finals 100-49 Vs Fat Han Player with a different approach to the game, that has payback keeping the ships in the low area of the field, to engage Han Solo setting a dense field of obstacles in up center that left Z95 blockers shields on it. I hit hard Han Solo turning around it with speed 1 hard turn with Leebo and Chewbacca. Leebo is shot down (had received PS 0 crit card) then Z95 shoot first on him

conclusions:

Mango Cannon + Predato on Leebo are more effective than 4 red dice of HLC the only weak point of the list remained is the management of two ships during the game with no more "donnut hole" to cover

My list, which is focussed on staying power:

Chewie, predator, C-3PO, R2-D2, Falcon

Leebo, determination, Dash Rendar, Mangler, Outrider, Tactical Jammer.

Chewie has that `immune to crits' thing going, while the title, 3PO and Artoo allow it to basically ignore 3 damage each turn. Predator helps to give it a bit more punch.

Leebo + determination allows you to completely cancel out about 50% of all criticals. Dash allows you to keep range with the Mangler and get an extra green one but denying the enemy the same (I always bring the 3 biggest obstacles). TJ is mostly filler, but if flown right, can give the Falcon a nice extra green die.

Having both ships at PS 5 gives a lot of extra movement freedom.

Quite good version, but i'm a very aggressive player and i like to focus my lists on fire power than defensive upgrades. I Have to shot down one small ship each turn ( or one each two ) and leave quickly the shields on large ships.

We have a lot of longevity and resistence thanks to shields and hull point in adding to the polots ability.

Determination is fine, but predator pay much more IMHO.

At the end, Leebo loose his dunnot hole, then the ships are not always required to stay close together.
