It was very tempting, but I just didn't see myself trying to cram 3 VSDs into a 300 pt list. Plus, you can buy the dice and maneuver tool seperate. I just didn't feel like it was worth it at the price point.
The downside to this conclusion was that I'm likely going to be the primary buyer in my friend group, so we'd be stuck with 1 damage deck unless others bought in and were present.
After opening my core set and playing half a learning game, and then seeing the 400 pt tourney standard, I realized I'll get a lot more use out of a second core.
I'm all in. Buying my second core set today.

I appreciate the help, but my FLGS sells it for $69.99 plus tax. Easy to justify the extra $10 when I'm not paying shipping and I have it right now.

Their everyday prices are 30% off MSRP. It used to be 40%, but they had to change it a couple years ago (understandably so).
