Here is "The Phantom Tandem... oh and Echo"

Seems pretty cool, take a look at the opponents alphaship dial, or the most optimal, adjust one ship accordingly and the other will action/block... echo will still be tough and slippery, but will make the game as a whole the way they intended back in 2011...

I like FCS so much on Phantoms, it's probably unhealthy :P (but it makes them stupid ******* terrifiying)

I'd also trade in the navigator for another IA (so you can afford more FCS after getting rid of scopes) because it greatly increases your coverage and makes it trigger more reliably (or give you more information)

I think Intelligence Agents will join Advanced Cloaking as cards that might as well be stapled onto most Phantoms. It will take a little more forethought and planning, but it could work well.

See, that was my line of thinking as well... Until I played with them... IA is a lock but normally you only NEED 1.

FCS vs ES means stronger attack with susceptibility to skilled blocking vs potential blocking capabilities with rare bumps and more arcs gained... nothing would really change for a low ps phantom with ES but I do agree that these guys love to shoot..

Would you try a shadow for the higher shot or keep the lower blocking caps?

### I like SOT on echo actually, and If I rid him of acd for spa he can take rebel captive? Opinions

I like heavy attacks so, I'm back to

Sig, FCS, SPA, IA.

Sig, FCS, SPA, IA.

Echo SOT, FCS, ACD... ### <-----

might be stupid, but what's SOT? Stay on Target?

if I knew what that was, I'd thumbs up the fist ^_^ If it's Stay on Target, it's going to have a bad time with ACD (free action + stress = no bueno). On the plus side, it's worth the same as V.I and, get this, ANOTHER IA

Lmao dude you love IA.. that's why I said acd for spa and add rebel cap, it's end game is incredible against ptl arc dodgers..

But 3x IA isn't wasted points but a wasted slot... One IA is plenty, not fickle.

So we're down to 1 sig with FCS IA spa, 1 with just FCS spa ad echo vi FCS acd Rebcap at 99pts.

I think ptl on phantoms could be interesting now, assuming you trigger it off the acd recloak action. VI is still important but not as critical, so taking other value epts seems okay.

I don't think rebel captive is a good idea. Recon Specialist on Echo is superior because at the end of the day, it keeps your phantom alive. Rebel Captive might annoy your opponent, but if they are able to shoot at Echo in the first place, its only a matter of time before he goes down.

This is what I would LIKE to fly:

Sigma w/ enhanced scopes, intel agent & SPA x 2

Echo w/ PtL, adv. sensors, recon & ACD

Unfortunately its 101 pts :(

Probably could drop 1 enhanced scopes, or maybe downgrade echo's ACD to SPA...its annoying to have to modify it to fit 100!

rebel captive is strictly an anti-phantom card and I do agree Recon is over all more useful

as I often said over in the Wave 5 days of my local area where it was nothing but whisper + chiraneau:

You want rebel captive on Whisper so that if Whisper shoots Whisper you can stress Whisper before Whisper can re-cloak.

With the errata, de-cloaks may be slightly less important albeit slightly (ACD still gives massive benefits via the +2 agility and the decloak next turn), it just depends on how prolific phantoms become.

Two sigmas with FCS, IA, SPA and Vessery with Lone Wolf and ion cannon.

Used IA, last night on vassal and ... waz mazing.

Soo my crew slot is locked.. FCS will be on one and scopes on another..ACD with ES, and FCS with SPA.

My intentions are to be cloaked every activation phase with one, and to be target locked, as a gun ship with extreme survivability when necessary.

The Blocking Sig : IA, ES, SPA

The Attacking Sig : IA, FCS, SPA

Echo : PTL, FCS, REC, ACD

The attacking sig needs FCS as spending a focus would mean almost sure death if attacking first

Your list is also 101 pts. :P

Also, running PtL on echo works better with advanced sensors.

PtL + Advanced Sensors + SPA would bring you below the 100pt mark as well as giving you the potential to barrel roll/focus/evade each turn. The Advanced Sensors allow you to clear the stress from PtL during the turn you receive it too! :D

Thank you fellow imperial aces.. Adv sens Echo with rec spec and ptl might be stronger than ever

Yeah but losing ACD is rough. ACD's main benefit is getting to use the 2 bank decloak move every single turn (provided you get to shoot of course, but for echo, that's pretty much a given).

I didn't plan on ridding echo of ACD :)

I ran a Phantom list today using new FAQ rules and I have to say, though only one game, I loved it.

My list was...

Shadow x2

-ACD

-IA

Echo

-VI

-ACD

I positioned my Shadow's to go after lower PS, and used them to block higher skill during activation. Echo, while I normally enjoy FCS and Navigator, was still a force and found myself more often then not getting strong position on the table.

Before the FAQ, I doubt I'd ever have run 3x Phantoms...
