Has anyone else experienced exceptionally tight activation sliders?

The slot in the slider that the stand is supposed to go in is sort of skewed too far off center for me to get a good fit on most of these.

It made assembling them very time consuming, and I'm concerned that the wear-and-tear on these will be pretty bad.

I'm hoping I just got a bum punch card and this isn't wide-spread.

Don't push down on the base. I thought my sliders were tight until I realized that was what I was doing. Hold the base on the side and then slide the activation slider.

Actually I have been holding the base on the side.

My sliders were so offset that it was painful to insert the peg into the base practically through the slider.

Your response gives me some hope though, because it suggests that your sliders are just fine. Ergo mine might just be a fluke.
