Destination takes us to 0 fuel, then up to 2

By Locutus Zero, in Battlestar Galactica

We were at 1 fuel as we made our jump. The admiral chose the destination that gave us 1 distance. It cost 1 fuel, and let us risk a raptor to gain two fuel. So do we lose as soon as we lose the 1 fuel, or do we get a chance to go back up to 2?

From the "Cylon Objective" Section of the rulebook, p. 18:

"If at least one resource is depleted to 0 or less at the end of a player's turn, the game immediately ends and the cylon players win... Note that it is possible for the human players to reach 0 of a resource type and then increase it during the same turn without losing the game."

So the fleet would have survived a little longer!

EDIT: Assuming the scout roll was successful, of course...

And what if you loose two fuel when you have only one? Is it still possible to gain fuel until the end of turn or it is a cylon win?

Hmmm... The rules only specifically mention the resources falling to zero, not below zero. Then again, the resource dials only go as low as zero, so I would think that would be lowest value to which they could be reduced. Makes sense thematically, too... it wouldn't be possible to lose fuel you don't have.

It was clarified that you cannot have negative resources. (And think about it: your car runs empty on fuel, it goes to zero, you can never have negative gas in the tank - though it may certainly feel like it!) These are all tangible things so zero is an absolute bottom.

So if you are at 1 fuels, soemthign drops you by 2 fuel, you are at 0, not negative 1. So all you need is soemthing that brings you up by 1 fuel to keep you going.

Why do I hear someone yelling "Get out and push!"?

That is awsome idea for a new action form skill card. partido_risa.gif
