Probably because I have not been able to play more than about 15 games of x-wing since release I have not had a Tie/In face that magic shot others talk of so much. I have now. One of my PTL'ed Royal Guard pilots, after simply murdering a warthog Y, was trucking back to the main event and on a bank maneuver clipped the edge of an asteroid. I rolled the dice and took a hit, of course. Then a flanking Z-95 took her range 2 shot through the asteroid getting 2 hits with me coming up blanks on 4 dice. My other guardsman later bumped another Z under a scum Kath's butt HLC guns and died horribly, but its death was a given when she rolled. Loved how it played out, my daughter laughed all the way until she flew Kath of the board, oops. I know it is no Soontir tale of woe but it was cool to see first hand.

Happens all the time. I got blown up in an interceptor 2 attack dice vs 4 agility, hit and crit, and I roll 4 blanks. Crit is direct hit. Pop.... Lol

This happened to my Turr Phennir in like my third tournament game ever. Boosted and barrel-rolled out to Range 3 behind a rock (with a Stealth Device, mind you)... one-shot by an enemy Alpha Interceptor.
