I get ALL of the maneuver benefits of a pilot of PS ^-1 (as I decloak even before a pilot of PS 0), and then get to move as normal.

Yes, the ACD Phantom's style just got nerfed, but holy crap did they give the beast a power upgrade to compensate.

With the lower PS phantoms, you can even block ships from two different positions.

What I like/fear is it allows you to use your phantom to block a lower PS ship, then perform your normal maneuver and still get to attack and take actions as normal. Previously anyone who was on blocking duty was often out of the fight for that round, as they often didn't have any targets, and the enemy you blocked couldn't attack you back. Not anymore.

I predict we'll see phantoms actually start using their K-turns now. Decloak, block your target to deny it actions, then k-turn behind it and blow it up.

What's wrong with you guys. The Phantom is now crap, it only has 4 def/att dice when it gets to recloak instead of the crazy arc dodge. I mean every other ship has more dice to throw than the phantom now and I might have to think in advance on how to move like every other ship in the game.

Poor Whisper may not be in every single list that made it into the top three at tournaments the world round. Now players will have to bring some other ships and that's not fair.

Seriously like the thinking here, instead of throwing your hands up and screaming you are actually doing something to show the ship is still a good ship, which it totally is. It is a solid ship.

My prediction... Whisper with Advanced Sensors (or even Enhanced Scopes), Intel Agent, Advanced Cloaking Device and maybe Outmaneuver or even Stay on Target

TIE Advanced X1 with Advanced Targeting Computer. He gets evades for performing actions each turn? You get crits each turn from performing an action once!

I think they'll be great with advanced sensors now.

Don't have the ability to do diagrams but imagine this:

Whisper is approaching a ship from 90 degrees to its flank. Decloak with a 2 forward to block and stop actions. Then barrel roll away from the ship with adv sensors, and use the hard 1 to point right back at it. Slam it with 5 dice and take a focus for the return fire (if any)

You will see more sigmas and shadows that is for sure.

Agreed - in which case the phantom is extremely predictable next turn, and a ripe target for being blocked itself - no decloak maneuver, must do a green to clear the stress before it can recloak.

The more I think about this, the more I like it.
