When I first looked at the thread, I thought it was about boring and overused lists have no soul and only original lists have real soul. Things like 4 generic X-wings to me have more soul than a Fat Han list. To me, I think having an original list idea and flying it well has more soul than some overused netlist.

For the record, I do usually have at least one named character in my lists, but I do love at least a mini-swarm of nameless pilots (of any gender, race, age, orientation, economic background, or disability). OK...I think I now have to come up with a background for one of my pilots that is a lesbian, orphan, ex-street urchin, with a handicap, who happens to be half Eskimo Ewok and half Wookie.

Yikes! I didn't know that these days. I guess living in the sun-blasted bible belt the conversation rarely turns to snowy indigenous peoples.

I prefer soulless destruction with my dual-Aggressor lists.

As for you saying my lists that have no soul due to being generics.....well my Bandit Pilot who had a Phantom chase him around for 9 turns in 3 combined games would like to have a discussion with you cause he has the soul of a Junk Yard Dog!

All I got to say is that my Imperial Commanders only assign quarters for 4 out of every 8 TIE Academy Pilots. Most of the games I play makes that about 4 bunks too many.
