New FAQ

Accuracy corrector left "May" and "May" on the card. Does this mean I roll 3 red dice crit, blank, blank. I choose not to cancell all dice results but add 2 hits? For crit, hit, hit? Or am I just Misunderstanding how this card works?

You have to cancel ALL dice results. It says it right there. It's like you rolled no dice at all. Then, you get 2 auto-hits instead.

It says you may cancell all your dice results. Then I may add two hits. So do I have to do the first to do the latter? Or is it like R7-T1?

You have to cancel all your dice results to add the two hits, yes. So in the end, you'll have two hits, and that's all. That's the intent behind the wording, anyway.

Huh. Named YT-1300 + Millennium Falcon + PTL + Jan Ors + Recon SPC might become a thing now.

Huh. Named YT-1300 + Millennium Falcon + PTL + Jan Ors + Recon SPC might become a thing now.

That's been legal for a while now. The clarification on Jan was just to explicitly show that the "are you in range 1 of yourself" FAQ applied to her card. That question was previously clarified in an earlier FAQ.

I've seen variations used in 1300/2400 lists, both with Recon to allow for switching of the evade token to whoever needs it. It's unlikely to see play on single falcons because, well, all the other options are better.

Am I reading this right? Can't tell if its because I'm tired but the Dead Man's switch FAQ makes no sense:

"Ships that are destroyed in the Combat phase by Dead Man’s Switch follow the simultaneous attack rule if they are of the same pilot skill as the destroyed ship equipped with Dead Man’s Switch."

So if my PS8 Luke kills a PS5 Palob with DMS, and that DMS destroys a PS8 Serrisu, then Serrisu does not get to attack with the simultaneous attack rule because he was not the same PS as the ship with DMS What?

Also, if that same situation happened and Palob's DMS destroyed a PS 5 Kaa'to, he would get to attack with the simultaneous fire rule?

That's crazy, that can't be how it works...

I just noticed that on Page 14 FFG addressed the Scum Firespray pilot card auxiliary firing arc problem:

Q: I noticed the Scum & Villainy Firespray-31 Ship cards are
missing the auxilliary firing arc symbol. Is this a mistake?

A: Yes, this is a misprint. Scum & Villiany Firespray-31s have an auxilliary
firing arc; it is printed on their ship tokens, just like Imperial Firespray-31s.

So there ya go, it's official, the cards are misprinted and Scum Firesprays can shoot out their backsides.

That IS how it works, RAW, though of course it's likely just an oversight and I think we can expect to see it updated in the coming days, if not hours.

For those who aren't happy about the new FAQ, a little you tube video. :)

Obviously a mistake.

Edit: Alex confirmed on another thread that this was a mistake. You compare pilot skill to the attacking ship, not to the target.

Feedback Array can be used while overlapping asteroids.

  • or when overlapping the same ship
  • or with blinded pilot

I believe that there was some discussion a few weeks back about whether overlapping an asteroid would prevent FA from working.

Ion got nerfed with the cloak change (an ion token no longer prevents decloaking). So Phantoms, though more predictable overall than before, are now unpredicatbale when ionized because then can decloak.

Not happy about this, since ion had been one way to guarantee where a Phantom would end up.
