Is it too early to declare the death of named phantoms?

You can now decloak while ionized.

Can decloak if Ionized now.

Mind blown.

Outside of the huge change to decloaking, there were a lot of nice clarifications.

- Hotshot Blaster is a secondary weapon

- Emmon needs to declare which template he is using to drop bombs

- Feedback Array can be used against a ship in base to base contact or while on an asteroid

- Lots of stuff about IG-2000 title is cleared up (shared ability is lost when pilot is killed, if one of the IG-88s gets the crit that has you ignore your pilot ability everyone loses his but everyone keeps the other abilities even the guy with the crit)

- The way Duantless works was clarified (can trigger from Daredevil, happens before you check for stress)
- Damaged Sensor Array was clarified (Decimator can use Ysane to Evade but a Firespray couldn't if they have the crit)

- How to put place your Large base ship has changed (I think it is similar to how folks on Vassal have been doing it)

- Accuracy Corrector was errated and has clarifications (you must cancel dice to add results, it happens during the Modify Dice Step, you can cancel results without adding hits).

- and a bunch of other stuff ...

Hot Shot was always clearly a secondary weapon I felt. I reread recently the relevant bit in the core rulebook: all cards that have the "attack:" header are secondary weapons.

There was a mix up at FFG - the April Fools FAQ was released early in the US by accident but the person running their content management system workflowed the date correctly for the UK and Europe - that's why you can't see it

Yeah this. I can kinda understand the "experimental interface is unique" clarification because people were missing that little bit, and apparently there were some mis prints that escaped into the wild, but hot shot blaster was completely clear to begin with and I never saw anyone confused or asking about it.

I'm still getting 403 Forbidden and nothing else :/

Clear as it should have been, it's actually a question that I've seen a lot. I guess a lot of people took the shortcut of assuming that turrets, cannons, torpedoes, missiles, and (incorrectly) bombs were secondary weapons. That is, unless you have a good grasp of the rules, "secondary weapon" seems to apply to the card type rather than the specific card text.

Typo in the FAQ, confirmed by a post from the lead designer in one of these threads. Should be "that does not move..."

It's probably worth remembering what FAQ actually stands for here The answer was never really in doubt, but the question was certainly Frequent.
