I love this game

By Ickey Shufflin, in X-Wing

Hi all! I usually only post on the "repaints" section, but last night had such a great game with a friend of mine yesterday (8at-eNTrOpY on the forums) that I thought I would share my enthusiasm with people that feel the same as I do. A picture is worth a thousand words so here are two examples that will show you all why this particular game was so much fun for me. Below, my Carnor Jax was surrounded by enemy Scum all at range one and unbelievably got through without a scratch! (full disclosure- he was dead two rounds later...)

later in the game, I needed a great defensive roll, and boy did I get it- five dice rolled, five evades-BOO YA. Hey, lets celebrate! Nope. I was told to re-roll because of R4-B11. Grr. It was not fun at all to scoop up those dice...

I lost a close game, but it was the most fun I have ever had playing. It had all the ups and downs that make this game so much fun, and most important, we flew casual! Have a good one!

Five evades made to re-roll. Love it or Hate it. Wow

My game night is always Thursday nights. I'm pretty excited. I get antsy all day as work has been boring lately. It's a great thing to look forward to before the weekend. I'm usually dog tired on Friday, though.

I have to ask, though, what is R4-B11?

R4-B11 is a Scum Droid that reads "When attacking, if you have a target lock on the defender, you may spend the target lock to choose any or all defense dice. The defender must reroll the chosen dice."

Haha that triumphant r4-b11 picture deserves to be framed

He's an Unhinged Astromech: "When attacking, if you have a target lock on the defender, you may spend the target lock to choose any or all defense dice. The defender must reroll the chosen dice."

I've had some fun with Drea/R4-B11 combos. The enemy's Xizor (clearly an impostor) sucked on a proton torpedo last game and re-rolled his evade results, and the game before that I racked up an impressive tally of stress tokens to keep Echo stressed in perpetuity despite having his cloak up. It's a little bit situational but high agility/low health targets do not like it.

OH....! Forgot to look up Salvaged Astromechs.
