I moved recently and in doing so, lost the box that had my pilot cards inside of it. I've been playing the game since Wave 1, so this isn't a simple matter of buying singles from ebay. It hasn't been a problem so far at the FLGS, but official FFG OP rules state you have to have the physical cards. I emailed FFG the following, have yet to hear back.

"Dear Fantasy Flight, I am an avid X-Wing player and have been playing the game since it first demoed at Gencon several years ago. Recently I moved, and in doing so I lost the box that held all of my Pilot Cards! Since as a rule, Tournament and Organized Play require physical copies of the cards, I am in quite the tight spot. My collection is quite extensive, so it is not a matter of purchasing one or two expansions. I am contacting you all to see if there is perhaps a solution you could offer me, I am more than willing to pay for just the cards if there was a way I could obtain them."

Has anyone else been in a similar situation, and if so, what did you do?

Well, I can help with named pilots. I don't have spare generics unfortunately.

Yeah, that's the problem, I had multiples of most of the ships :/

What a shame man, I got sick of having things in multiple boxes and got a big tackle box to throw everything in. FFG are pretty good with their replacements but I dunno if they will replace a whole set of cards. Maybe there are folks on the forums who aren't big tournament goers who can help you out? other then that id just say proxy up and bribe the TO?.

Or, fly all-named squads forever!

Asking around here is a good way to start though. A majority of players have extra named pilots, maybe some people could part with a generic or two.
