I'm interested in running a fun new crazy idea involving using Seal's and Shops to give my character new symbols to play cards that otherwise don't share resources with my character.

If/when my character loses the new resource symbol; will the cards in play that don't share resources get to stay in my staging area?

cards can be in your staging area without matching a symbol with your character. Its just hard to get them there, lol.

The restriction of chaining comes in when PLAYING a card into your card pool. Also cards that let you "drop" foundations generally say "that you could normally play" which implies the chaining restriction.

However antisocial for one does not say that you could normally play, so you could drop anything, even a card that matched zero symbols.

Yes, you get to keep anything that is already in play. Resource matching only matters when you play the card.

Of course, if you blow the seal(s) during your turn you may find it impossible to play any more cards that turn if you were chaining off a symbol you no longer have.
