Your most fun YT2400 builds and lists to go with

By conormacmillen, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Howdy all,

I am returning player, just coming back into the game. I mostly flew imperials when i last played, but since returning, i have fallen in love with the YT2400. It was a ship i always liked the looks of, and now, having flown it a few times, I really love it.

I am looking for some really fun builds for this ship, and what to put with it. I have run the standard 58pt HLC super Dash, and i like it a lot, but the donut hole is a little daunting..

So let's see what you like. I mostly play casually, but i wouldn't mind taking something to a tourney at some point.

Thanks!

step 1: intelligence agent

step 2: go nuts

Space Fringers are incredibly legit pilots with intelligence agent because dat base + dat barrel-roll = your opponent isn't going anywhere without bumping

You don't need the title, but a cannon is highly recommended.

to take full advantage of IA, fly with other ships that can move post maneuver, especially A-wings and B-wings and other YT-2400s

Here's a control-style list I've played around with a bit. I haven't tried to play it competitively, and I suspect it has some nasty weaknesses, but it's fun to have on the table:

Eaden Vrill (32)

Ion Cannon (3)

Intelligence Agent (1)

Dagger Squadron Pilot (24)

Flechette Cannon (2)

Tactician (2)

B-Wing/E2 (1)

Luke Skywalker (28)

Veteran Instincts (1)

R3-A2 (2)

Engine Upgrade (4)

Total: 100

Similar to Vorpal Sword, my Y2400 list has Farlander cause I love B's and I love his ability.

Farlander - PTL, E2, Kyle

Dagger - FCS, E2, Tactician

Vrill - Jan Ors

At 99, I get initiative and the balance between Kyle and Jan means I can turtle up Farlander with a TL, focus and evade each turn. The Dagger is around to cause stress, and let Vrill get his extra attack die.

Here are a couple i am looking at based on some of the ideas you all put forward. Having not flown rebels before, I am now beginning to understand how cool B-wings are. Really like B and Yt 2400 combos right now. Thoughts on these three lists?

Eaden Vrill — YT-2400 32
Gunner 5
Nera Dantels — B-Wing 26
Veteran Instincts 1
Fire-Control System 2
Flechette Torpedoes 2
Munitions Failsafe 1
Prototype Pilot — A-Wing 17
Chardaan Refit -2

Keyan Farlander — B-Wing 29

or this two ship build.

I was rocking my BBig Leeboski at the store championships that I attended

YT-2400: · "Leebo" (34)

Push The Limit (3)

Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

· Nien Nunb (1)

· Outrider (5)

B-WING: Blue Squadron Pilot (22)

Fire Control System (2)

B-WING: Blue Squadron Pilot (22)

Fire Control System (2)

Although I now think that it would be better to swap out nien nunb for recon specialist. I didn't really use the green 3 and 4 straights, but the double focus would have been invaluable.

I was thinking of an alternate rebel swarm list with a 2400

REBEL MINI SWARM

100 points

PILOTS

Blue Squadron Pilot (22) x 3

Wild Space Fringer (34)
YT-2400 Freighter (30), “Mangler” Cannon (4)

I am comparing to the BBBBZ list and over all 2 less hull/shield and 2 attack die less but the fringer brings more utility for an arc dodger counter and the mangler for matches against fat turrets.
