Replacement Figures.

Nice advice. Thanks. He's basically leaning over so bad that he looks like he's falling over.

One of mine got bent exactly like that. Submerge the base and his attached foot in, and then straighten that angle before cooling. should be fine.

It kinda sucks, but when I bought the game and opened it, I found that one of my Ettins had his arm broken off. I suppose I should use glue to fix it ( what kind though I don't know). But my friend had bought the game as well and in his box, one of the Shadow Dragons was completely broken off the base. Point I'm trying to make? It would be nice to have some replacement figures from the Core game available to purchase outside the box.

It is good to the positive experiences of many of you with the FF replacement service.

Sadly my experience was more disappointing when I notified FF (with pictures) of three defective heroes with the shadows of Nerekhall expansion.

I got a reply stating the faults (two heroes with poorly moulded faces and one with extra plastic over the weapons) were within acceptable limits. Having bought the Trollfens and a hero and monster expansion Bonds of the Wild (I love the kobolds) I had got used to very high quality miniatures, which is part of the attraction of the expansions.

I wonder if the response I got is because I live in the UK.

The skirmisher I think I can salvage with a sharp craft knife and steady hand. The orc and halfling wizard are literally faceless. My friends who I play with have already indicated they don't wish to consider them.

I love this game - it is the first board game I have bought a large number of expansions for - and indeed posted about in a forum. Sorry to sound negative I my first post.

Has anyone come up with a source of figures for peasants or militia instead of the tokens? Something that won't break the bank?

Does anyone have an idea of the average time it takes for a reply after you've submitted a request?

Did you order the figures directly by FFG? You could try to ask the reseller you bought it from. (most of them are pretty helpfull with stuff like that if you write a polite e-mail) ;)

And if you bought it at a "bigger" reseller like Amazon they are almost sure to send you a new one if you send them an email.

I used the link found on the first page here. One of the reanimates from my bilehall expansion was pretty crooked.

Just a fun science note:

the plastic used to make the minis is quite heat sensitive. If your problem is only that the mini is crooked (nothing is broken) you can dip the mini in hot water for a couple seconds (boiling works great, but it doesn't have to be), bend the mini to where you want it, and then while holding it, dip it in cold water. It will stiffen in the position you've got it held, mini fixed!

I have a dream, that some day 3d printers will become more advanced and accessible to the common folk, so you can buy printing files and print the miniatures yourself. Reduces production and shipping costs:)

Yes, If you scroll up a bit, you will notice I am also an accomplished scientist knowledgable in said field of scientific matters pertaining to the bendiness of aformentioned plastic objects. :P

But it doesn't seem to work too well in this case.
