Reward Cards hidden informations?

By K3rmit, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Hi,

don't missunderstand the topic. Clearly the heroes know the name (and type) of a reward, when picking a mission. But are they allowed to take a look on the corresponding card?

This questions is for all kinds of reward.

a) the card in the reward deck?

b) the ally?

c) the reward the Imp would get?

d) "how much" credits they able to gain?

e) Something missing?

This question comes up, because the Imp only reads the first part of the mission and all later is a hidden information. By this d) (for example in "Generous Donations") is hidden for the heroes, until the mission ends. Logically all other points must be hidden, but is there a ruling? Or is this clear since stated above?

Greetings...

Page 13 of the Rules Reference Guide under "Hidden Information".

Players can look at any card not in a deck and can look at any of the reward cards. The ally and villian deployment cards are common knowledge in general. So.....

a. Yes (In reward deck)

b. Yes (Common knowledge)

c. Yes (Common knowledge or in reward deck unless)

d. No (this is in the campaign guide so it's off limits)

e. I dunno?

I'm not sure they'd get to look at the ally deployment card.

"Other Cards: Players cannot look at the cards in any deck

except for the Reward deck. Discarded cards, active missions,
faceup cards on the table, and cards in players’ play areas are
open information and may be read by any player at any time."
I guess that depends if the unused deployment cards constitutes a 'deck'. I'm not sure what else you'd call it, but they do go pretty far to call out specific thing the rebel can see in general. Any imperial reward from a mission would seem to depend on what deck it is in.

Okay, then play a skirmish game. Ta-da, they saw the ally card.

Different rules, but yah it's silly. I highly suspect that FFG would rule you just show them the deployment card based on how other rulings are coming down.

Deployment cards are not part of any "Deck".

I let my heroes see the rewards that they will get for that particular mission, it allows them to make a choice about whether it is a priority or not
