Rebel Strike Force

By ThatJakeGuy, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I brewed up something I really liked over the weekend I call Rebel Strike Force:

Fenn Signis

2x Rebel Troopers

Rebel Saboteurs/Jyn (still trying to decide here. Sabs get two figures, Jyn is a lot more mobile and harder to kill)

Gaarkhan

Mak

Gideon

40 points

With a core movement group of Fenn and the Troopers to be the front line and take objectives, Gaarkhan, Jyn, and Mak to assassinate high value targets, and Gideon running around passing out focus where needed, the Strike Force is very versatile while keeping 7 activations

I would look at adding one copy of the Elite Troopers and I would go Sabs.

There's no room for an elite trooper. Fenn is my only 3-attack figure, and he synergizes with the other troopers. I could cut Gaarkhan and Mak for them and add Rebel High Command, but that puts me at an action disadvantage.

I think your build looks fine as is. It's so early in the games life it's hard to make changes without testing squads against a bunch of different match ups and missions.

Funny, a couple nights ago while I was painting my Rebel Troopers, I envisioned a similar list that I am going to roll with tomorrow

Fenn - 9

Elite Rebel Trooper - 9

Regular Rebel Trooper - 6

Elite Saboteurs - 7

Gideon - 3

Jyn - 5

Balance of the Force - 1

(40pts)

Same basic principal, Fenn and Gideon have some good synergies with the troopers, while the Sabs and Jyn have some interesting takedown power.
