Can multiple blasts affect one monster?

By ND Jones, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

My friend and I came up with an interesting scenario regarding Blast and Widow Tarha's Heroic Feat. Her heroic feat reads "Perform an attack. This attack affects two different monsters in your line of sight. 1 attack roll is made but each monster rolls defense dice separately. Both monsters are considered targets of your attack."

Now take the below example of a zombie (Z) flanked by two goblin archers (GA).
___________
| GA | Z | GA |

If Widow Tarha were to use her heroic feat attacking both Goblin Archers with Lightning Strike and a surge was rolled, would the Zombie take damage from both blasts?

In my mind it makes sense that he would, as it's two different explosions. But I wanted to run it by the forum and see what you all thought.

Thanks!

It's still a single attack, and so I would say that the Zombie is only affected once. IE, it's either affected by the attack, or it's not.

This is correct. In just about every case, being affected by an attack is a simple yes or no. Also, it states in the rulebook that a figure can only be affected by blast once.

Shoot, thought we had come up with a strategy for a monster killing machine. You're both correct though, I checked blast in the rule book and it said a monster can only be affect by blast once per attack.

Thanks for the responses
