Having become interested in Armada i happen to keep hearing about 300 pt. tournament play, but has there been any info about coming tournaments?

The consensus is that there will only be store level tourneys this year as the regional lists are already out and armada isn't included.

Nothing so far from my FLGS. I watch their FB page and its all "X-Wing this" and "X-Wing that".

It would be up to each individual FLGS to start a tournament. If there is enough interest most will probably host one at some point this year.

While it's getting out too late for store and regional level competitions, I would expect Armada to make a cursory appearance at the National and World Championships (point of reference being the Conquest LCG last year).

For store level events, that will be on a less official basis than Store Championships, but there are Armada organized play kits shipping to stores in the near future. Our first tourney is May 2 at Tabletop Game and Hobby in Overland Park, Kansas. 180 points, though may go to 300 if Wave 1 ships sooner than expected.

i grew up in OP Kansas. however does little good as i live in NC now. good luck with the tourney.

Really? I thought that in one of the recent previews they said they would release it this week or next? Maybe I am crazy or misremembering.

The core set comes out today, but Wave 1 doesn't have an official date yet.

No, FFG hasn't released the tourney rules yet. The rules release that they did were the quick start and main rules reference.

We're running our first event on April 25th in north Texas. It will also be 180 points unless Wave I gets here first.
