I think that is as close to official as we have right now. I don't consider it legal. In my mind, it's up the player to learn their ships movements and where they will end up with any kind of movement (maneuver, barrel roll, boost, etc.). Playing an 8 tie swarm requires skill. Players that practice know where every ship will be each move. There is randomness in this game, but this is one the skill areas. Practice, play a lot, and you'll increase your skill in it.

That Dallas guy just needs to practice more. Good thing he was running a two ship list, I don't think he could handle a swarm if he needs crutches like putting his finger on the table.
