Player searching for group

By Eliofsweden, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hi guys!

I'm new here, so go easy on me. :-)

I'm searching for a group to play EotE (or AoR or F&D or all of them) online, via Roll20 or the like. I would like to play, since I've been the only GM in my town for over 4 years now, and I miss to play a PC. Anyone who wants to play?

Hi there,

I would like to play too. If you are in an European timezone as your name suggest I would play with you via Roll20. I am quite used to the rules but as you I have been the GM too long and would rather play. If you find a game count me in.

Thanks.

Great, you're in. :-D

Another European here and I too would be interested in playing...

Great, soon we will be able to have an entire group. We just need a GM.

We could share GMing responsibility and run a few sessions each...

That sounds like a perfect idea. :-)

Jeg skal kjøre et spill i mai, så om du er i Norge da så får du si i fra! Hehe.

Stop that, you church burning metal lover! :)

Tell me about how Roll20 works. I am curious. I am clueless about online cam-gaming and everything on my computer that isn`t photoshop.

This is long, but it explains pretty much everything...ever...far faster then I can type it.

While originally constructed for D&D and related games, it's fully functional for Star Wars, including integrated and add-on systems for dice support, initiative, a character sheet (super handy) DPoint tracking, and so on.

It's not as good as being there, but it's the next best thing...

Holy crap! That’s a full online game, but in your browser!

I fear that it wouldn’t work so well for people who are visually challenged, however. ;(

Depends on how challanged what you do and to what extent. That demo is the full monty, but for star wars you can work with much less visually. If you're merely almost blind i bet you could still make it work...

I'd like to join too, CET too, it has been a while since i've last played RPGs but it's time to get back at it!

Eventhough I am an experienced GM I have never used Roll 20 so I would want to play first to get the hang of the system.

So, at this point the confirmed players are:

Eliofsweden

Erahard

Danterotterdam

vaderjona

We can start moving things ahead and rotating Game Mastering is a good compromise though I would like to have a permanent GM if we eventually find one. For now, please register at Roll20, get a micro and a camera if you don´t have one and create your characters (preferable by using Oggdude's generator and following the starting character rules). If any of you does not know the game, just send me a message with your character concept and backstory and I will create it for you. An image of the character would also be useful. I will take a Human Gadgeteer by the way.

If in the next few days we do not find a permanent GM I offer myself to run the first adventure.

Oggdude's generator doesn't work for me... I constantely get a .NET Framework error. But I can scan a character form.

Do you have any restrictions on a character? I would like to play a face type character. Perhaps an Entrepreneur.

Then just send me the scan and a backstory to explain the Obligation or Duty. In do not have any restrictions on character creation. Actually you can use any specialization from any EOTE or AOR book (thought in the latter case you would have to explain your presence in a group of outlaws).

An face type character is a great idea as can provide with very good roleplaying situations!

Should we play with all three systems or just one of them? And in that case, which one? EotE, AoR or FaD?

Would you be willing to include one more player? However, I don't dare to GM as I don't have much experience in GMing and am fairly new to the rules (have played on 2-3 times).

Oh and I'm from CET+1 timezone.

Absolutely, you're welcome to join, if the others agree, which I hope they'll do. :-)

Sure do! I have a friend (experienced player) that would like to join as well.

This topic got really quiet... I did get a private message to build my character and had some talks with the first GM so I am hoping to hear about a starting date soon! :)

I am reallly enthusiastic about playing for once instead of being the GM.
