I don't want to go full on Space Marine with my campaign, but I'm looking for any info people may have on Troop Transports, Dropships and, well, best thing I can explain them as is the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper drop pods from the Halo series. What does the Star Wars universe have fore these?

I love that wookieepedia forgets to mention troop drop pods are for all intents and purposes escape pods with a fancy paint job...

Even if limited to movie references you have several options:

ESB had a TIE shuttle (bomber variant) that could easily be a small boarding or drop ship. The sketches/models created for Ep IV I think were to be used to board the Tantive IV, but never made it to the screen and later were converted into a TIE bomber for ESB. Even so, it did make it to the screen briefly in ESB when Captain Needa moved between ISD's.

For a bigger drop shuttle, I would use the Sentinel that made it to the screen in the expanded Ep IV.

If you are talking drop pods then as Ghost said I would just go with standard escape pods.
