By Draheal, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hello fellow players,

i am a mostley rebel player but i have decided to play Empire for the regionals this year,

ived tryd a few lists with some succes but nothing seems to feel right.

like:

Kath: vi,mangler,tactician,eu

fel: PtL,Auto,royal,SD

Backstabber.

and

Whisper: vi,fcs,acd

Fel: PtL,auto,Royal,SD

academy pilot

academy pilot

well i would like your skill to find me a list that i might like better,

in my sig you can see what i own.

my thanks in advance

Draheal,

I ran something very similar to the first list at the last tournament. The list didn't do so well when green dice would roll poorly. Amongst my friends the list did great but at the tournament I only got 2 wins and 2 losses.

Well, given the ships you seem to like, how about the gencon winner updated with autothrusters?

Whisper w/ VI, FCS, gunner + ACD = 44

Fel w/ PtL + autothrusters = 32

Omnicron Shuttle w/ Vader = 24

it might work, i realy like the defender but i cant seem to get the thing to work for me, shuttles seem to die on me very fast,

Here is what I played yesterday and beat a dual Aggressor list.

Soontir with PTL

Echo.with Mara Jade,VI, Enhanced Cloaking Device

Shadow Squadron pilot with VI and cloaking device

Lot of arc dodging ability and a good amount of attack dice won the day.

Here's my take.

Soontir Fel (27) with PTL (3) = 30

"Echo" (30) with VI (1), ACD (4), and Navigator (3) = 38

Maarek Stele (27) with Calc (1), Prockets (3), and MF (1) =32

darkjawa103, that is a solid but the OP only has one Phantom.

Keith, I like your list too. Calc Stele is pretty brutal with Prockets. Props.

Draheal,

One list to consider that should be within your collection to build is something like this:

98 points
-----
Soontir Fel (32)
TIE Interceptor (27), Push the Limit (3), Autothrusters (2)
Delta Squadron Pilot (30)
Academy Pilot (12) x 3
-----
I've played this list before AT was out and used a hull upgrade or stealth device instead. Even though I've only played about 4 games, this list has been undefeated for me. I don't bring it out often but it actually has a lot of potential in a tournament setting. Fel is your ace and needs no introduction. But what else is here is 4 other ships at PS 1, meaning you can move them in whichever order you need to to get the most efficient blocks and positioning. I love the PS1 Defender because you can almost guarantee your 4K turn won't be blocked, and you can take your focus, get your positional advantage, use your focus on Defense because you are most likely shooting last, and then have it available for offense.
The three academy pilots work their magic against things like phantoms, blocking decloak lanes (standard tactic here) and fel just destroys. The Delta also goes unnoticed much of the time because Fel is a bigger threat, so he (or she) can put in some good work.
Overall a really fun list and worth checking out. May not be your play style, but fits mine perfectly for an imperial list. It's also a good mix of guns to drop some firepower on something like a decimator or low agility.

thanks i will try this one out,

Sounds good. Definitely worth a look if you have time. I've suggested it to one other poster here a few weeks back because he was interested in something different. Blocking is really strong in this kind of meta, but soulless swarms are making a comeback.
